🧰 About the Role
As a Fire Protection Equipment Technician, you will install, test, inspect, and maintain fire safety systems to ensure they meet strict Australian standards. This role plays a vital part in protecting lives and property across commercial, industrial, and residential environments.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities:
➤ Install, service, and maintain fire protection equipment such as extinguishers, hydrants, hose reels, and sprinkler systems
➤ Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure operational readiness
➤ Test fire detection and alarm systems for compliance with safety regulations
➤ Diagnose faults and perform repairs on fire safety equipment and related components
➤ Prepare detailed service reports and maintain accurate compliance documentation
➤ Ensure all work adheres to Australian codes, industry standards, and workplace safety practices
➤ Coordinate with site managers, contractors, and safety officers during installations and servicing
➤ Respond to emergency repair requests and support system upgrades when required
✅ To Qualify, You Must Have:
➤ Minimum 5 years of recent experience as a Fire Protection Equipment Technician (experience within the last 2 years preferred)
➤ Strong knowledge of fire safety systems, preventative maintenance, and inspection procedures
➤ Experience working in commercial or industrial environments is highly advantageous
➤ Ability to read technical diagrams, service manuals, and compliance documentation
➤ Good English communication skills, both written and verbal
➤ Relevant technical training, trade certification, or TESDA qualification is an advantage
➤ Physically fit and committed to maintaining high safety standards
➤ Can provide documents to support your visa application (passport, police clearances, employment evidence including reference letters, salary proof such as pay slips or government contribution records, training and/or school records)
➤ Driver’s license is an advantage
