🧰 About the Role
As a Social Worker you will support individuals, families, and communities facing complex circumstances. You will assess need, coordinate services, advocate on behalf of clients, and work within statutory and safeguarding frameworks.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities:
➤ Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop case plans with individuals, families, and carers
➤ Provide counselling, crisis intervention, and short-term therapeutic support
➤ Coordinate discharge planning, housing, income support, and community service referrals
➤ Undertake risk assessment covering child protection, family violence, and adult safeguarding
➤ Advocate for clients and navigate NDIS, My Aged Care, and Centrelink systems on their behalf
➤ Facilitate group work and community development programmes
➤ Maintain accurate case notes and comply with mandatory reporting obligations
➤ Work within a multidisciplinary team and participate in regular professional supervision
✅ To Qualify, You Must Have:
➤ Bachelor or Master of Social Work from a recognised institution
➤ Minimum 2 years of post-qualification practice experience
➤ Eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), including overseas qualification assessment
➤ Experience in health, child and family, mental health, or aged care settings
➤ Full driver's licence, or the ability to obtain one, for community-based caseloads
➤ Current registration or licence to practise in your home jurisdiction, in good standing
➤ English language proficiency meeting the relevant board and Department of Home Affairs requirements
➤ Ability to provide passport, police clearances, employment references, academic transcripts, and professional registration evidence for the skills assessment and visa process
